Delivery noticeThe written notice given by the seller of its intention to make delivery against an open, short futures position on a particular date.

Delivery
The tender and receipt of an actual commodity or financial instrument in settlement of a futures contract.
Open
Used in the context of general equities. Having either buy or sell interest at the indicated price level and side of a preceding trade. "Open on the buy-sell side" means looking for buyers-sellers (for someone who is a seller-buyer).
Short
One who has sold a contract to establish a market position and who has not yet closed out this position through an offsetting purchase; the opposite of a long position.
