External funds

Funds originating from a source outside the corporation to increase cash flow and to aid in expansion efforts.

The value of assets that can be converted into cash immediately, as reported by a company. Usually includes bank accounts and marketable securities, such as government bonds and banker's acceptances.

Expansion
Phase of the business cycle as it climbs from a trough toward a peak.
