Ordinary trade
Ordinary tradeA term used by the London Stock Exchange to denote that a transaction does not have any other special trade designation. RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Term The period of time during which a contract is in force. Stock US equivalent of the British word "share", a block of shares with a nominal value of 100, or various kinds of fixed-interest securities; in Britain, goods stored ready for sale, raw materials, work in progress and finished but unsold products. Exchange A marketplace in which shares, options and futures on stocks, bonds, commodities, and indexes are traded. Transaction A single business deal; a sale or purchase; or the crediting or debiting of an account. Trade To buy and sell; buying and selling.
