Set up
Set upApplies mainly to convertible securities. Arbitrage involving going long the convertible and short a certain percentage of the underlying common. Arbitrage Buying securities in one country, currency or market, and selling in another to take advantage of price differences. Long To have bought more of something than one has sold of it. Underlying 1) In derivatives, the security that must be delivered when a derivative contract, such as a put or call option, is exercised. 2) In equities, the common stock that must be delivered when a warrant is exercised, or when a convertible bond or convertible preferred share is converted to common stock.
